The dreaded day...after Thanksgiving...Black Friday...yes...its not that far away...and honestly, I don't think I'll have a new job by then. (Which really sucks btw) Oh but wait, Black Friday isn't just on Friday anymore, it starts on Thanks-fucking-Giving. Really? I mean...REALLY. Thanksgiving is supposed to be our paid day off, to spend time with family. But no, consumer-whores and retail corporation pigs want to keep stores open earlier and longer to make money, so people can buy more shit they don't need. If you plan on going shopping on BlackFriday/Black Thanksgiving, please...do yourself and everyone who works retail a favor and DONT. It's a huge scam anyway. Retail purposely will mark UP prices a week or so before the holiday, just to fool people into thinking the sales are wonderful on Black Friday/Black Thanksgiving. So all you people obsessed with the shopping day, are fooled. If you just buy the things about 6 months later or so, then you'll get the same deals without the risk of getting trampled on.
And to all you people who go shopping that day, and tell a cashier "It's horrible you guys have to work today" ... If you think its horrible, then don't fucking shop that day! Give the cashiers and other retail workers a break. Major companies make enough money throughout the years, I really don't think our sales will affect the store going broke if people didn't shop black Friday/black Thanksgiving. If you really like Black Thanksgiving deals, then wait until Cyber Monday to get the same deals, if not even 'better' deals online. Sure the sites might crash every now and then, but its better than standing in a line with over 200 people.
I really do wish some of my co-workers would like, plan a black friday or black thanksgiving protest for my store...so I could join in...heheh. It's a stupid day. And it should never have been invented. I mean..seriously...people get fucking KILLED on this day. And for what? A fucking TV that was half price? Or a gaming console that you can buy even cheaper if you just wait almost a year? I'd rather not see people dying for trying to get a fucking...piece of electronic technology that they don't even need in the first place. TVs and gaming consoles are not a necessity. They are escapes from reality. Something to keep humans entertained when they can't thing of other productive things to do.
But yeah...chances are...I'll still be in retail during this horrible horrible Black Friday event. And I'm gonna do what I do every year. Wear all black, paint my nails black, and wear something skull related. Like my skull necklace...or one of them anyway.
Also, I plan on not doing any black friday or cyber monday shopping this year either...It's just not worth it.
